Customer feedback and the development of innovative technologies has allowed us to introduce new developments that will enhance the way that you work.
We are proud to introduce Cubit 9, our latest version of our construction estimating software. Cubit 9 takes construction estimating to a whole new level, allowing you perform your takeoff in a fraction of the time that it used to take, more efficiently and with more accuracy.
Estimating with Cubit is already fast, up to 10 times faster than traditional methods, and 3 times than that of other systems. Now we’ve changed the game.
Introducing Auto Select, Cubit’s powerful new takeoff tool
One of the new features that we have added to Cubit 9 is Auto Select. This innovative feature makes your takeoff faster than ever. A single click allows you to select single rooms, multiple areas or rooms and complex shapes.
The complex algorithms built into the software ensures that Cubit knows where your rooms and areas are when your mouse moves over your plan. All you have to do is point and click to select.
In addition to this, new keyboard shortcuts allow you to tailor the way that you work and to easily switch between Auto-select and the other powerful takeoff tools in Cubit.

More improvements to PDF rendering
Accurate quantity takeoff is the cornerstone to successful estimating and clear plans are the key to improved accuracy.
In Cubit 8 we rolled out improvements in the way that PDF’s are displayed. We have built on these enhancements and released significant improvements in Cubit 9 to ensure that your plans are displayed more accurately than ever before . This improved representation makes it easier to see and interpret your plans and to work with greater precision than ever before.
Take your efficiency and productivity to the next level.
Relative References
We have improved the way that referencing works by including features that allow you to Copy and Paste with relative references. You can now Paste items between rate sheets and calculation sheets and maintain the references with relative references. When you copy a calculation sheet or a rate sheet that contains references, if you Paste with Relative Referencing, then the references will be maintained without the need to link to the original sheet.
Relative references also work in the Item sheet and the Price Lists so that you can use the values a way that makes the most sense to you.
Import from Global Estimating directly into Cubit
The latest version of Cubit allows clients who work with files from Global estimating to directly import a file from Global into Cubit even if you don’t have access to Global.
